Don't Let The Trump Administration Roll Back The Clean Water Rule!

President Trump and EPA Administrator Scott Pruitt are planning to roll back the Clean Water Rule – an Obama-era policy, which protects more than half the nation's streams from pollution.

Rivers provide clean and safe drinking water for two-thirds of Americans. They also provide homes, food, and water for migrating birds, fish, river otters and other wildlife. Without the Clean Water Rule's critical protections, vital streams and wetlands will be left vulnerable to unregulated pollution, dredging, and filling.

With 44% of our assessed waterways already too polluted for swimming or fishing, this is not the time to weaken protection for our rivers and streams.

More than 1,200 individually peer-reviewed studies provided the scientific foundation for the Clean Water Rule. Over one million public comments demonstrated overwhelming popular support for strong protection for the country's small streams and wetlands.

But, now this administration is showing a blatant disregard for the will of the people and the rivers and streams that are vital to our communities, economy, and health.
