A Second Chance for Felons

It is time for a change! People make mistakes. Someone convicted of a non violent offense in their college years should not have to continue to pay for their conviction for the rest of their life. There needs to be a change in our  legislation as our society evolves. Felons with 4th and 5th dergee, non violent convictions should be able to complete 19,200 hours of community service  (this is equivalent to a 40 hour job for a year) or more if necessary to remove felony convictions. Only those who are serious about their reformation will complete such a demanding program. Everyone makes mistakes. Not everyone gets caught. I have yet to meet a person who has not broken the law in some way. Unfortunately many of us are unaware of the expungement laws until it is too late. There are those who could be productive, contributing citizens however their ambitions are hindered by their conviction. To support a change, please sign this petition!
