Please sign the following petition to allow white fronted,white faced, and tufted capuchin monkeys legal in Pennsylvania. These animals have even been known to help the disabled through being trained to fit peoples needs.
The Capuchin monkey weighs 4 to 15 lbs depending on the sex and species. Head and body 9-20" and tail 12-22 inches. They have a lifespan from 35-45 years.
Boston-based Helping Hands, places Capuchin monkeys with people to assist everyday tasks. Placing its first monkey in 1979..these monkeys can help people who are quadriplegic or have multiple sclerosis, diabetic neuropathy, Louw Gehrig's disease or polio. Laser pointers can direct these monkeys to do different things to help, such as:
turning lights on and off for you, retrieving items and flipping pages of magazines and books. They can even warm up food in a microwave.
I also think these monkeys could make good pets, especially with their capabilities just from training. These animals could bring so much to a family or person such as: love,friendship,company and happiness. It's amazing how these monkeys can help people.
