Let Yahoo Be Yahoo

Microsoft made a bid to acquire rival Yahoo! and Yahoo!'s CEO, Jerry Yang, turned the bid down.  Yang feels, as many do, that Yahoo! still has a bright future, based on the Yahoo! brand and ideals, and plans to steer Yahoo! in new directions.  Yahoo! has proven itself able more than once, and should be allowed to steer its own course, without having the purchase offer from Microsoft shoved down its throat.

Now, however, Carl Icahn, Mark Cuban, and other Yahoo stockholders are trying to force Yahoo! to yield to Microsoft's purchase offer.

By signing this petition, we show not only our support for Yahoo! and their right to be autonomous, but we demonstrate that the public and Yahoo!'s user base want an independent Yahoo!, and, after all, without them Yahoo! is nothing.
