MAKE A CREATIVE REUSE CENTER FOR LOCAL ARTISTS AND K-12 ART CLASSES

A local creative reuse center, would  help recycle more items and could be used by many local artists and kids who are enrolled in art classes. Glass could be used for glassblowing, metal and wood could be used for sculpture, paper and cardboard could be used for drawing , etc.
Artists and teachers who often need scraps could be charged $5-10 for a bag filled with scraps to help support the program which could be open 1-2 days a week.  The program could be expanded to include some reusable  throwaways from local corporations and vendors like sheets of  rubber, paint, stencils, fabrics, carpet, and more.

Successful reuse centers already exist in cities such as  Bloomington, Indiana - Santa Barbara, CA-  Detroit, MI  - Eugene, OR and Durham, NC.http://www.calrecycle.ca.gov/reuse/links/Art.htm

The City of Greenville  already runs a  great recycle center, but by adding a reuse program  it would serve to help the local arts and increase efforts  to keep the environment cleaner.  Everyone Wins!
