PETITION TO KEEP AN ONSLOW COUNTY KEEP A MURDERER BEHIND BARS:

Jamie Gunn of Jacksonville, committed murder in 1992 of a Hubert man, William Phillip %u201CBilly%u201D Albert and was also suspected of another murder in 1990 in which he slit Karen Sue Lanham%u2019s throat. And with his accomplice, dug a shallow grave and buried her. There%u2019s a lot more to what happened to the Karen and Billy but out of respect for the victims, I will NOT go into detail. This happened near where they were building the Hunters Creek School years ago.
Both men Jamie L. Gunn and Jeffrey Scott Vavla plea bargained and was only charged for the murder of the man. Jamie Gunn was sentenced to 45 years, which means he%u2019s free of the second murder. His accomplice, Jeffrey Scott Vavla is already out and living in the Regal Wood area off Piney Green Road.
Jamie Gunn%u2019s projected release date is 9/09/2009 but he goes up for parole 11/01/2007. He will be living in the Regal Wood Area off Piney Green Road, a different residence as his accomplice, but the same subdivision.
For those who knew the 2 victims should feel honored as they were both kind, caring individuals who didn%u2019t deserve to die in the violent, vicious manner in which they did.
Please sign local petitions at convenience stores to keep Jamie Gunn in prison for the maximum sentence of 45 years like was ordered in the courtroom when he was found guilty. Or email forvictimsrights@yahoo.com and I will print each email out and send them in bulk to the Marion Correctional Institution before his parole hearing date on 11/01/07.
