Keep Bennett Rural!!

Do you really want to see the town of Bennett Colorado grow and turn into a crazy, out of control suburb? Neither do I! We need to keep Bennett how it is now. We are close enough to everything we need, so why bring it to us? Instead lets keep Bennett rural and livable so we can enjoy what it has to offer.
Why not take the thousands of dollars the town is wanting to spend on growth and development and create something we can all enjoy and make Bennett wonderful? With all the open space there is, lets improve the quality of life by having votes and creating something like a big lake full of fun recreation for everyone to enjoy! I don't know about you, but I would rather see the quality of life go up in Bennett and the quantity of building and development stay low. Besides, wouldn't it be amazing to go to the Bennett lake on the boat, hit a few practical shops there are in Bennett (like the hardware store and grocery store), grab lunch and enjoy your day? Or would you rather have a stressful drive to the grocery store and hardware store with Traffic?
If you are with me and want the quality of life to increase in Bennett, and not let this town follow the others with everything being about the money being brought to the town, then please sign this petition so we can hopefully make this place great for ALL of us!
Bennett Colorado is a beautiful rural town that is now experiencing what many other towns have gone through. Growth. I believe we should put a lid on this trend that turns practical towns like Bennett, into crazy suburbs that are all about the Money versus the quality of life for the residents. They all say "we are going to make this place great for everyone." What they really men by that is "we don't care about your home as much as we say, we have an opportunity to make more money, so we are not going to think practically and say no to it." I would not like to see Bennett go through that process, whereas the town and people of the town should vote on what we really Need as a town versus what we want. Bennett is always bragging how close it is to the big city. So why bring the city to Bennett by growing so rapidly. Do we really need a shopping center? Especially when one is 10 minutes away on the highway. If we prioritize what would make Bennett Great and practical for who is here, this place could be amazing before it goes away. Right now there is a nice grocery store, plenty of restaurants, gas stations, hardware stores, etc. What people Need. If we add a motel and a few other Practical businesses to the town, then stop growing, this place will be great! Why not take the money and put a small reservoir and park in the town by the rec-center? That way, families and visitors to the town can enjoy a fun place to fish and have fun, while enjoying the beauty Bennett has to offer.
As far as housing, why not keep this place as small as we can. It won't last long anyway. Limit to a maximum population for the next 50 - 100 years to increase to 15000 MAX.
