In a disturbing incident of animal abuse, beachgoers and lifeguards witnessed a man attempting to drown a dog in the ocean near Miami Beach. According to arrest records, the man dragged a white pit bull into the water, repeatedly forcing the dog's head underwater as the animal struggled to breathe.

This act of cruelty is not only heartbreaking, it's a clear warning sign. Research consistently shows a link between animal abuse and other forms of violence. This is why it's critical to ensure this man receives counseling to address the behavior that led to this attack, which could prevent future violence like this.

Witnesses described the pit bull as clearly distressed, fighting for its life. Lifeguards rushed into the water, ordering the man to release the dog, but he refused. Even after being brought to shore, he continued to resist giving up the animal until officers finally pulled the dog from his grasp.

Thankfully, the dog is now safe and in protective custody, but the trauma it endured is unimaginable. We must protect animals from future harm and ensure no other creature suffers at his hands.
