Stop the Use of Pitbulls as "attack dogs" in film and television!

Pitbulls are beautiful, wonderfull dogs that have some of the most affectionate and intelligent natures of all types of dogs. They are not natually vicious. They are hugely misunderstood. Think about how many times a chihuahua bites people. They aren't strong enough to do damage, so it isn't reported. Pitbulls don't attack people very often, it's just reported almost everytime they do. They are NOT a vicious dog.

On television and in film, pitbulls are often used as 'attack dogs', and are portrayed as a vicious dog that will attack to kill random people or the story's protagonist (the good guy). This makes people see them as bad and dangerous dogs. They should use a mutt or a dog that isn't in danger of being banned for those parts.  When a pitbull goes to a shelter or a pound, they are usually immdeiately euthanized, because they are seen as 'vicious' dogs, that cannot be rehomed. This is based solely on the breed of dog they are! They are not given a chance at life. They need to be protected, loved, and given safe, happy homes.

The film industry needs to stop giving pitbulls an even worse image in the world. They can be some of the most loving pets. They are more than smart enough to be service dogs and seeing eye dogs! How can a dog who can do that for people be a 'bad' dog? Everything can turn bad when trained and raised that way, inlcuding people. Are we going to ban human beings because some of them are murderers? Please help this beautiful creature have a chance, and stop giving them a bad reputation before people even meet one.
