The BBC 100 Women 2017 Challenged the women around the world to stop abuse in public spaces. We, the women of TT, are asking all our fellow citizens both at home and abroad, to join us and be a part of this Global Initiative, by signing this petition for ground-shifting change.
This petition will be presented to Universities and Corporations as a comprehensive Training and Development course in Abuse Prevention, to be adopted and successfully completed by all their Graduates and Members. Universities will require Graduates to complete this course in order to be awarded their degree, whilst Corporations will be awarded the Seal of Excellence for adopting the course as part of its requirement for Membership.
Whilst it is understood that real change comes over time, we believe that we have reached a
Tipping Point, and Now is that time for Change to become a Reality. By begining with Higher Institutions and Corporations, change of this magnitude will be provided the mentoring and the leadership from those holding positions of power. This will also allow for commitment and accountbility to take place, and thereby bring into fruition the siesmic shift needed to eliminate the scourge of Abuse from our Nation and the World.
