The U.S. Government Lost 1,475 Immigrant Children

1,475 immigrant children went missing last year. These unaccompanied minors were placed in homes with adult sponsors, and the federal government lost track of them.

Nobody knows where these 1,475 immigrant children are today.

And now, the Trump administration plans to separate more children from their families at the border as punishment for trying to enter the U.S. without documentation. Given the government's track record, many of these children will go missing, too.

Please sign this petition demanding that the federal government find these missing children now and fire those responsible for endangering these children's lives.

According to a 2016 AP investigation, many sponsors who take in unaccompanied minors have never undergone background checks, and government officials often fail to visit their homes. Reports of children being sexually assaulted, abused, and forced into labor run rampant. On top of that, many of these children are sexually and physically abused by border agents before they even get to their foster homes.

The likelihood that the missing children have fallen victim to human trafficking and slavery is high. We must find out what happened to these children and return them to safety immediately.

This is a dark time for America. Sign now and demand that the U.S. government find the 1,475 missing immigrant children and hold those responsible to their disappearance accountable.
