The Trump administration perpetrated
yet another air strike on a boat in international waters near Venezuela, bringing the total count (as of early November) to
16 strikes. As a result, upwards of 66 people are now dead.Trump and his cronies, including the disgraced Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth, are
claiming that the people the U.S. killed were terrorists planning to attack the United States. But
there is absolutely no evidence of either this or their claims regarding drug trafficking, and trigger-happy Trump can't just continue to
kill people illegally whenever he feels like it.

Donald Trump and officials at the Department of Defense are claiming that the deadly attack is justified. But so far, they have not given Congress any evidence that
the people the U.S. killed in these strikes were affiliated with terrorist or drug smuggling organizations in any way.
And - to be clear - even if these people
were smuggling drugs, that would never give any president the right to summarily execute them without due process, and does not qualify them as terrorists. After all, the Sackler family in the U.S. knowingly pushed the sale of highly-addictive oxycontin to as many Americans as possible - leading many people to die. But no one considered calling them terrorists.
Not only is Trump unilaterally deciding right now to just kill people in international waters whenever wants, making up whatever excuse he wants. Under his direction, the Pentagon is now saying it has "determined" that the U.S. has
entered an "armed conflict" with drug cartels. We have no idea how much further will try to escalate this situation, if he thinks the public isn't paying attention.
