The U.S. Must Grant Asylum to Palestinian Refugees Escaping the American-Funded War in Gaza

It's been almost three months, and the bombings against Palestinian people in Gaza have left their lives and communities in shambles. According to the U.N., around 85% of Gaza's 2.2 million residents have been displaced by the war.

Gazans have been trying to flee for their lives, but it's been difficult - or even impossible - to find anywhere safe for them and their families.

That's why the U.S. and European Union must do more to help these refugees reach asylum! Sign the petition now!

More than 50,000 Palestinians have been wounded, and around 20,000 people have died. That includes upwards of 8,663 children in Gaza who were killed by Israeli military forces - not including thousands more that are missing.

And part of the blame for this must fall squarely on the governments that are bankrolling this gruesome war. The U.S. recently approved the sale of $147.5 million dollars' worth of military equipment to Israeli armed forces, and has proposed providing another $14.3 billion in assistance. At the same time, the E.U. has approved a 900% increase in its annual funding for Israel. Yet they are not taking sufficient responsibility for taking in the Palestinian refugees who have been displaced as a result.

Meanwhile, politicians in the U.S. have been pushing racist, Islamophobic rhetoric. Florida Governor and presidential candidate Ron DeSantis went so far as to say that every single person in Gaza is "antisemitic" and suggested that only other Arab countries should take in Gazan refugees.

If wealthy Western countries are going to bankroll a blood-soaked, civilian-killing war, they must take responsibility for the resulting humanitarian crisis. We must give them a place to safely escape to - within our own borders. It's the very least we can do.

Demand the U.S. and European Union provide asylum to Palestinian refugees now! Sign the petition to protect human rights.
