Dear Mr. President,
I am the proud mother of an eleven year old son. In 2003 the courts gave custody to my parents and the State of Tennessee demanded me to pay $3,600 yearly in child support to my parents, both of whom have steady income within their household. I have taken them back to court to try and get custody of my son, however the courts sided with my parents, due to their steady household. My father however, felt I could care for my child so he let my son move back in with me on December 18, 2012. I had my son for 1 year to the day, but when I was offered a better life in Nashville, my father made me give my son back.
Mr. President, the only thing I am asking for is custody of my son back and that my child support be dropped so that I may be a mother to my son. The judgement against me isn't just. All I want is justice.
Thank you for your time.
Sincerely,
Mistie Austin
