All animal abuse is tragic. But a recent incident involving an innocent dog in Fort Myers, Florida is especially harrowing.

incident, captured on video by a witness, depicts a man
repeatedly slamming a small dog into a wall while it cries out in pain. The man also appears to be hitting the dog and even kneeling on it while it lies on the ground. The clip is incredibly hard to watch. He did all of this in broad daylight, where anyone could see - which seems to suggest he didn't even think what he was doing was wrong.

He must also receive immediate mental health intervention in order to keep the larger community safe. This kind of violent, dangerous behavior cannot be ignored or allowed to fester.
