Petition to keep the Cowboy’s Woodland Junior High’s mascot

Some people have stated that our mascot the "Cowboys" is offensive to them in matters relating to sexism or ethnicity related issues. I am concerned that many years of tradition will be erased, when the majority of people want to keep the same mascot and our tradition of excellence and winning. I would like to get 1000 signatures to bring to our principal and superintendent that the students and families want to keep our mascot and the pride of being a Woodland Cowboy.

Urgent! Please consider showing your support to keep the Woodland Cowboy’s Mascot by attending the Fayetteville School Board Meeting this Thursday, January 24 at 5 PM at the Fayetteville High School Administration Building! Arrive early!!
