Of all the lies from the lyingest president to ever sit in the Oval Office, possibly the most unfathomably bald-faced and fictitious is the president's assertion on March 17 that, "I felt it was a pandemic long before it was called a pandemic."
This is truly a record-setting whopper. In fact, it comes just 53 days after Trump said "It's going to be just fine," 41 days after he said, "We pretty much shut it down coming in from China," and 17 days after he declared, "Within a couple of days [the number of cases] is going to be down to close to zero, that's a pretty good job we've done."
This couldn't have been a bigger lie if he'd said two and a half weeks earlier, This is like a flu… we're totally prepared, and just one week before called the health crisis a, "new hoax."
And of course Donald Trump said all of those things as he sabotaged the best minds and tools America has to save lives in the face of this once in a century health crisis.
