Say No To Wheelie Bins in the New Forest District

We the undersigned are signing this petition to oppose the Waste Strategy of wheelie bins being bought into the New Forest District Areas on the following basis: 1) These will be unsightly on the high street of Lymington. 2) the food waste boxes were trialed in a nearby area and were scrapped after a short time due to them being a hazard. 3) Elderly and less able being able to move these bins if they are full therefore opposing health risks, 4) families with children as another area the council will NOT empty these if they are overflowing.

Now onto the proposal of 2 weekly collections this will be a disaster to the District especially Lymington due to the people including families living on the highstreet above business premises. these will also cause rats and other types of rodents getting into these bins.

Also this Survey is not Demographic as NFDC are not asking the whole of the District as many people living in the district have access to online Services.

We have done ok with the Waste Strategy we have already for the last 25 years with black and clear bags and more recently the Glass and garden Waste Collections on a weekly collection and the glass being collected every 4 weeks.
