End the North Atlantic Garbage Patch NOW!

You should sign this petition so that our Scottish Government will make a difference on a global scale beginning with looking into sustainable ways of collecting and clearing the garbage patch in our North Atlantic ocean so close to home (http://news.nationalgeographic.com/news/2010/03/100302-new-ocean-trash-garbage-patch/).

Then once research has been conducted and options considered, using an economic and potentially traditional system (my idea being traditional sail boats/ships and using wind-power to collect the debris, a potentially carbon-neutral solution), begin collecting and using an environmentally-friendly waste-disposal system (such as the ones in Norway, Klemetsrud plant in Oslo http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-europe-24209185) to eradicate the rubbish polluting our seas.
