Please sign this petition to convince Hollywood that a documentary about murdered child actress Judith Barsi is necessary to keep her memory alive and to bring to light the fact that child abuse can happen to anybody!
Judith Barsi (1978-1988) was a child star, perhaps best known as the voice of "Ducky" in the original "The Land Before Time" movie, who was murdered by her jealous father just one month after her tenth birthday. Judith had endured a lifetime of physical and psychological abuse at the hands of her father prior to his murderous rampage, which also took the life of her mother and ended with her father turning the gun on himself. Sadly, with the exception of her devoted fanbase, Judith has been largely forgotten. In fact, it took 16 years for her and her mother to even get headstones, which were purchased with money that was raised by a group of fans.
Judith and her mother's deaths, which involved bullets to their heads and their bodies being doused in gasoline and ignited, didn't even make "E!'s Most Horrifying Hollywood Murders", while the deaths of several adult film stars and people not even affiliated with Hollywood did.
It is my belief that a documentary or feature film about Judith will serve two purposes: to ensure that she is never forgotten and to help bring to light the fact that child abuse can happen to anybody.
