Clean Silver Burn Park Pond

We have started this petition to encourage the local council to clean Silver Burn Park Pond. When a friend and myself visited the park we couldn't believe the amount of litter in the pond and the high levels of algae. Due to the amount of algae the ponds ecosystem has been destroyed and plants in the pond are dying due to lack of sunlight.

We would like to see the pond being cleaned and a plan put in place to control the algae levels to allow the pond to be restored to a natural ecosystem and habitat as it is such a shame to see a great feature to the park go to waste.
