Grant Health Care to Undocumented Immigrants in Spain

In 2012, the conservative government decided to deny undocumented immigrants full access to Spanish Public Health. They argued that this measure will guarantee the sustainability of the Public Health system but it was not true.

In addition to violating the human rights and dignity of thousands of people who were going through a difficult situation, this decision made it more difficult to control certain diseases and to reduce the use of emergencies because the exclusion of other previous alternatives that could solve health problems of many undocumented immigrants.

Today, with the change of government, there seems to be more possibilities of ending this 'apartheid.' The new Minister of Health has already declared that she does not believe that the decision to exclude immigrants without papers is something good for our Health System.

But we can not wait longer while there are people who are suffering without having their right to health guaranteed. Sign this petition now and ask the new Minister of Health to act immediately in order to guarantee access to health services to anyone in Spanish territory.
