More than three years after a jury found that President Donald Trump sexually abused and defamed E. Jean Carroll, she has received the $5.6 million awarded to her by jurors, court records show.
Carroll had in 2019 accused Trump of sexually assaulting her in the mid-1990s. After he denied Carroll's accusations and publicly assailed her, she filed two civil lawsuits. The first case went to trial in 2023 and ended with jurors awarding Carroll $5 million in damages.
