H5287 and S178 would regulate all "pit bulls" in Rhode Island."Pit bull" is defined as any dog that substantially conforms to the American Staffordshire Terrier or Staffordshire Bull Terrier,or American Pit Bull Terrier standards.

Those who are owners of a dog(s) that meet the definition of "pit bull" must always keep the dog securely confined indoors,in a locked pen or muzzled.Owners not in compliance can be reported to the Authorities.

BSL is dangerous to ALL dog breeds. Will YOUR dog"s breed be next? Let us remember the villification of German Shepherds,Doberman Pinschers and Rottweilers.Where does BSL end?
