At this time we are all well aware of the devestation the northeast has suffered by the December Hurricane or Megastorm Sandy. The Congress in particular the House of Representatives is using the approval of funds as a political tool which in effect is causing a massive PUBLIC HEALTH ISSUE which each state is trying to address with NGOs - in the New Jersey, New York and Conneticut areas affected.
We have waited AND ARE STILL WAITING to have the funding to begin a rebuild of all the personal properties lossed with this storm. This rebuilding is NOT FOR MANSIONS on the waterfront. The majority of the homes affected are small fishing or shore cottages built in the 1970's or earlier. Our Governor's have sent messages to the Republican Dominated House that the northeast AT LEAST deserves the attention given Katrina, Ike or the many other south and southeastern hurricanes and storms. DO NOT CREATE ANOTHER BATTLE OF THE NORTHEAST VERSUS THE SOUTH AND SOUTH EAST. THIS IS THE 21ST CENTURY our representatives need to react like the citizens of the U.S.A. have in donating their time, money and other resources to the northeast.
I believe we need to coordinate as a group in WALK ON WASHINGTON D.C. BY FEBRUARY 22 - Washington's Birthday. People are Votes It we have a bus campaign throughout the U.S.A. to D.C. maybe a point might be made to the House of Representative. WOULD YOU JOIN US IN THIS TRIP??
