Guernsey requires a new Crematorium away from out of date site of Le Foulon

The States of Guernsey has recently granted permission for the refurbishment of the existing crematorium. Following a consultation meeting on 25th July with users of the site, it has become apparent that Le Foulon Chapel is very much out of date. Had this consultation taken place 18 months before being placed before Staes Meeting we are sure the deputies would have voted for a new facility to be in a better location, as this was muted back in 1965, and 2003. Once again the People of Guernsey have been failed by the powers that co-ordinate our Island. We would like the people of Guernsey to have a chance to protest against this decision, by raising 6000 signatures or more and force them to reconsider before another failing of the island.

The new plans will cause further distress for all users especially the elderly, and disabled who wishes to attend funerals, there is no clear disabled parking, and as funeral goers already know, it is situated, at the top of a very steep hill. The capacity for seating is still limited, Your support matters, as one of these days you may be the user of the facility.
