Someone is trying to shut down our beloved site! Please don't let that happen!

DA is an amazing and simple to use art site that makes it easy to get your art out there and learn new things to further your art skills. True there are some trolls and just general jerks but there are troll and jerks on every social media site. I don't see anyone threatening to delete Facebook or Instagram, heck bullies can even get ahold of your cell phone number now in days yet we're not all tossing away our phones. As for the bullies the rest of us all stand up for each other and do our very best to disbatch the bullies from the sight as quickly as possible while doing our best to help the victums.

Deviantart encourages new artist to do better if they're bold enough they can reach out to and talk to the more seasoned artist and learn some tips and tricks as well as getting a confidence boost in their art. I know that without DA I wouldn't be near as great of an artist as I am now and I know that like everyone I have plenty of room for improvment too.

As for the NSFW things those pictures are usually locked behind a warning and an age limit to veiw and those that are not are usually report and can be blocked. You can control what you see on the site to an pretty big extent.

As for Eclipse mode, yeah it's not that great and is slightly confusing but you can turn it off and you don't have to use it. It's also not that hard to use and actually makes navigating a gallery easier once you figure it out.

As for the call outs and drama, again, that happens on every social platform and usually most of us kind of ignore it.

DA is not just a mindless art site either. With their exchanging of points artist can also learn the workings of trades and economics. I personally learn more about supply, demand, and prices on Deviantart then in my High School Economics class.

Getting rid of this site would not be better for artists. I have never heard of any other international art site that is free, simple, teaches good buisness skills, allows for feedback, allows the creatation friendships, and let's you find and talk to people whom you admire.

Don't let a few people who misuse the site let all of the other thousands of artists, who actually follow the rules and use the site as it's meant to be used, suffer.
