Provide Bulletproof vest for Police person

A recent shootout in Kanpur during a police operation to nab the head of a crime ring, Vikas Dubey, left eight policemen, including a deputy superintendent of police, dead and seven others injured.
The police force, acting on a complaint filed against Dubey for attempt to murder, was ambushed by the gangster’s men when it reached his village late in the early hours of 3rd July' 2020, in one of the bloodiest attacks on the police in the state.

My concern is that why police person are not getting any safe guard like helmet and bulletproof jacket to save their lives. Like Kanpur case there are lots of cases, where police person injured, killed but no action taken by government for their lives security.

I want that police person should have safe guard (Helmet & Bulletproof Jacket) for saving their life in the crucial type of situation like Kanpur case.
