His Campaign Includes a Bump Stock Giveaway. Don't Let Him Become Governor.

Responsible leaders brings people together in times of tragedy. They carefully consider all the facts and look for ways to make their communities safer.

Georgia State Senator — and Republican gubernatorial candidate — Michael Williams is not a responsible leader.

On October 1, 2017, a gunman fired into an estimated crowd of 22,000 in Las Vegas, killing 59 and wounding an additional 500. The shooter used so called "bump stock" conversion kits to increase his rate of fire — and casualties.

Williams' response? The state senator didn't just offer a strident, emotionally tone-deaf defense of "bump stocks" in the wake of the Las Vegas mass shooting. He is actually giving away one of these deadly devices "as a show of support" for gun rights.

These cheap political stunts demonstrate that — while Michael Williams may know how to appeal to the most extreme gun groups — he lacks compassion and the steady temperament needed to be Georgia's next governor.

That's why we're calling on Williams to drop out of the race, and we hope you will too. By adding your name today you're turning the spotlight on Williams' irresponsible antics. You're also putting other politicians on notice that you're not going to stand for this kind of thoughtless campaign rhetoric while Americans are dying at the hands of mass shooters.

We need real solutions to stop mass shootings — not cynical fundraising from a politician seeking the NRA's favor. Please add your name now.
