Ski Resorts: Go carbon neutral

skiing is an amazing sport, but one that will be most affected by climate change. operating one single ski lift for a month uses as much energy as 3.8 houses for a year. ski resorts also use a lot of water, in fact, a single snow gun machine can use as much as 100 gallons a water per minute. sometimes, creating a new ski resort can cut down many trees, and trees take in carbon dioxide. i would encourage ski resorts to plant one tree in a different location for every tree they cut down.

if you are an avid skier, but don't want to have a big impact on the environment, there is something called the Golden Eagle Awards. it awards ski resorts that make there ski resorts more eco-friendly. this is the link:
