A heartbroken pet owner in Los Angeles County is pleading for help after her beloved cat suddenly disappeared. Home security footage shows a delivery worker stopping at a house in Lakewood, leaving a package at the door, and then noticing the family cat, Piper.
In the video, Piper can be seen pulling away as the person tries to lift her. After a brief struggle, the cat is taken and carried out of view. Since that moment, Piper has not been seen again. Her owner says the pain of not knowing where she is has been overwhelming and that the family's only wish is to have her brought home safely.
The owner has reached out to the delivery company and local authorities. While the driver has reportedly been identified, there has been no contact or update so far. Anyone who may know where Piper is is asked to reach out through the Facebook profile Diane Huff Medina and help share the story so Piper can find her way back home.
The cat has remained missing since December 11.
This petition is for the outcry of people who demand Lakewood law enforcement to take immediate action to hold the perpetrator accountable for committing the act California Penal Code § 496 PC prohibits receiving stolen property. This is buying, receiving, concealing, selling or withholding any property you know that was obtained through theft or extortion.
It's in the constitution for law officers to uphold the law for citizens of the United States.
