Shut down Crocodile park, Davao City, Philippines!!

  • by: SAM Matthews
  • recipient: Philippine government and owners of the park

An orangutan on drugs still on display falling around on solid concrete with no stimulation in her cage, Ostrich losing their feathers, Koi in an overcrowded polluted pond, injured salt water crocodiles in overcrowded pens, half a dozen tigers in one enclosure (some of which in very poor condition), parrots losing their feathers, birds of prey being handled incorrectly, no privacy or stimulation for the rainforest animals in their metal barred cages, crocodile meat and leather etc for sale (this place used to be a crocodile farm that's sole purpose was to exploit the giant reptiles), small enclosures, no stimulation or appropriate housing for various birds, and also when they let people handle reptiles there was no disinfectant to prevent the risk of salmonella.

All of this I witnessed first hand. I have photos and videos of this prison for wildlife. It serves no conservation purpose. A lot of the animals should be re-housed, moved to a better facility, or set free.

As a wildlife lover it was a hard day for me being here. But I guess at least now I can take some action, such as this petition to do something about it. This place is poorly managed and the animals are not being kept correctly.
