Support the Dallas Cowboys' Right to Peaceful Protest

Across the country, NFL players are exercising their right to peaceful protest by kneeling during the national anthem to protest racial inequality and oppression. While the move has caused quite a bit of controversy, with some claiming that the players are disrespecting the flag, most players have been able to take a knee with little consequence.

Unfortunately, that’s no longer the case for the Dallas Cowboys. Owner Jerry Jones has said that if any players kneel during the national anthem, they will not be allowed to play.

Benching players for kneeling is just another example of the racism these players are protesting. It is another attempt at silencing black voices. That’s why we’re calling on the above listed brands to stop advertising with the Dallas Cowboys until Jerry Jones allows his players to kneel without consequence.

Following Jones’ announcement, ESPN host Jemele Hill suggested that people boycott Dallas Cowboys advertisers (a statement she was suspended for). Rather than boycotting, we’re calling on the advertisers to take the initiative and show that they support the team’s constitutionally-protected right to peaceful protest.

Please sign this petition and tell AT&T, Bank of America, Dr. Pepper Snapple Group, Ford Motor, MillerCoors, and PepsiCo to stop advertising with the Dallas Cowboys now.
