Replace MPs expenses with loans, which need to paid back.

In his Autumn statement George Osbourne has cut funding for nurses grants, with some nurses now expected to pay extortiinate fees for training and qualifications. The UK can ill-afford to lose vital medical staff, with the NHS struggling due to Jeremy Hunt and his ideological changes and further cuts, we need to encourage people to join medical professions, to support the NHS, one of the finest services in the world. The justification for Osbourne's cuts to nurse's grant funding is to save money and yet MPs are still claiming for more than generous expenses at further cost to the taxpayer.
Therefore, why should MPs be allowed to claim large sums of money, in addition to their generous salaries (not forgetting the recent increase in MP salaries)? Recent history has shown that, in many cases, expense claims have been fraudulent, with others exceeding the limit on their taxpayer funded credit cards, despite assertions that the general public should "live within their means." Why is it OK to pay the mortgages, energy bills, nursery and childcare costs for millionaires, when the majority of the working people in the UK are struggling to make ends meet?

If George Osbourne is serious about tackling the economic issues in the UK then I suggest changing the system and turning expense accounts into repayable loans. This would help to reduce the instances of fraudulent claims and save the taxpayer millions.
