500 million plastic straws are used and discarded every day in the United States alone – meaning 175 billion a year filter end up in landfills or enter our oceans.

We are asking the bars, restaurants and shops of Sheffield to only give out plastic straws upon request and if possible, look into more environmentally friendly alternatives such as biodegradable options or paper straws!

As a city that prides itself on being environmentally friendly, let's make Sheffield go straw free!
