Child Rapist Gets Zero Jail Time

Most of society agrees that the worst crime in society is violence against children. That's why it's so baffling how many judges just let convicted offenders walk away. Such is the case for Judge James P. McClusky who just decided that an admitted child rapist named Shane Piche won't get any jail time

Sign on if you think this judge has poor judgment and should be unseated due to this decision.

Shane Piche was a bus driver and that's where he met his 14-year-old victim. He got her to come home, gave her alcohol and then raped her. The judge explained his reasoning for only giving Piche probation by saying there was "only one victim".

Excuse me, but one victim is one too many. This judge is essentially saying this admitted and convicted rapist just gets a warning for his heinous crime.

The victim's mother says that she is suffering greatly; her anxiety and depression are through the roof. She also said she wishes he has received some jail time. What I know from also being a survivor of sexual violence is that an event like that will effect you for the rest of your life. So why should the offender only be on probation for ten years?

This is truly another example of a judge letting a rapist off the hook and we cannot stand for it. Sign my petition to ask the New York State Commission on Judicial Conduct to unseat James P. Mcklusky.
