Tell Jersey to support islanders when forced to have medical care abroad

  • recipient: Jersey government, Jersey

My name is Rebecca Bennett. I am 27 years old and a new mother of triplets.

Due to being born at 24 weeks and 6 days, myself and my children have been based in the U.K. receiving medical treatment for their critical condition.

The Jersey legislation states that a person will only be recognised for an income support claim if they are not out of the country for more than 28 days. This means people receiving medical care in the U.K. for longer than 28 days will lose their rights. This needs to change!

Please join me in standing up and voting for jersey residents rights!
