Democratic legislators in Congress have introduced the Do No Harm Act which would clarify limits to the Religious Freedom Restoration Act and prevent discrimination against LGBT people and a host of other minorities.
This legislation is vitally important to help protect LGBT people, but also religious and racial minorities in America whose civil rights are in jeopardy because a narrow band of religious conservatives want the extra right to discriminate against them.
This is unfair and unconstitutional, yet the Trump Administration is backing state level exemptions to civil rights laws. This can't be allowed to continue! We the undersigned call on the US Senate to pass the Do No Harm Act and reaffirm the integrity of civil rights protections.
