We need an American Climate Plan!

President Biden's American Rescue Plan put a huge dent in childhood poverty and provided Americans with cash that helped them make ends meet and drive our economy as we emerge from the COVID-19 pandemic.

President Biden also has an ambitious plan to create millions of jobs, rebuild our economy, invest in clean energy, and tackle the climate crisis. But Congressional Republicans are playing games to try to weaken the plan, limit the economic recovery, and prevent the creation of clean energy jobs. And they are blatant about it — they admit they are solely focused on stopping President Biden's proposal to invest in climate, jobs, and justice, which will sacrifice economic recovery and good-paying jobs.

Their political obstruction hurts our economy. It hurts you. And it hurts America at a time when we need to take bold action. The vast majority of Americans — 71%, in fact — support investments in clean energy and climate action.

We need an American Climate Plan. It is urgent that Congress pass a bill that makes the big, bold, and ambitious investments needed to tackle the climate crisis,achieve true environmental justice, and accelerate the transition to clean energy. To meet this moment, to heed the science, and to make good on President Biden's promises, Congress must act now to deliver on climate, justice, and jobs.
