Join Our Call to End the Black Maternal Health Crisis

As one of the richest nations on Earth, moms in BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, People of Color) communities across the U.S. are dying at one of the highest rates in the developed world – and the rate continues to rise. This crisis is most severe for Black moms in the U.S., who are dying while giving birth at three times the rate of White women.

In this sweeping package of 12 bills, the Black Maternal Health Momnibus Act of 2021 (Momnibus) aims to fill gaps in existing legislation to improve health outcomes for BIPOC moms and address every dimension of the maternal health crisis. The bills included in the Momnibus Act seek to provide support to community-based organizations that are working to improve maternal health outcomes and promote equity, grow and diversify the perinatal workforce, invest in digital tools like telehealth, care for moms with maternal mental health conditions, and more.

Sign this petition today to join our Action Network and to call on your lawmakers to support the Momnibus.
