Assistance Dogs save lives! Show your support today

For thousands of years, humans and dogs have shared a very special bond — we look after each other physically and emotionally, and become best mates in the process.

And for many Australians, that bond runs even deeper.

Currently, 1 in 5 Australians lives with a disability, which can impact their mobility and mental health. Assistance Dogs can tremendously improve the quality of life for people living with disabilities. According to a survey of Assistance Dog recipients:

  • 83% of people with a physical disability reported an increase in motor skills
  • 72% of people living with PTSD decreased their medication
  • 61% of people living with PTSD reported a reduction in substance abuse

And most importantly, 100% of recipients reported having more positive experiences in public and having an easier time leaving their house.

Assistance Dogs are more than just a companion to people living with disabilities: they are their lifeline.
