  • by: Frantz Moise

This petition will be submitted to the Florida Governor in order to request for the refugees to be granted asylum. Please join the fight for social justice, humanity, and equality for all refugees.
The time for change is now!!! Too long have the Haitian people been looked at in the eyes of society as a lower form of life. We are constantly fighting a battle using old tactics that haven't worked in the past and will not work in the future. It's time for the younger generation to breathe new life into a community divited and misguided. It's time for a new movement... all young people from every nationality. It's time for you to join the movement! Haitin ancestors gave their blood, sweat, tears, and life so that we today can become doctors, lawyers, business owners, teachers, nurses, and many more. On March 28th, 2007, a group of 102 Haitians migrated to the Ameerican soil. These people have been kept in Jail since then. On Wednesday, April 4th, 2007, a young Haitian Activist by the name of Henry Petit-Homme started a hunger strike as a way of protesting against the policy. Henry stated that he will not eat until the refugees have been allowed to stay. Many people think that the policy is unfair and unjust.
