Support the EPA, Not Corporate Greed!

The power industry insists that Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) regulations for toxic coal-burning power plant emissions would hold back economic growth and are responsible for stagnant job creation.
Although the power industry claims to defend American workers, in June one of the largest utilities in the U.S. shut down 21 power plants, claiming that investing in measures to reduce lead, mercury, arsenic and other pollutants would be prohibitive. In reality, doing so would be expensive because their units are half a century old! So they chose keeping themselves rich over the health of Americans and the jobs of their employees.
Regulating poisonous power plant emissions would prevent tens of thousands of premature deaths, heart attacks, aggravated asthma cases, and hospital and emergency room visits.
The power industry is choosing profits over people, but these EPA regulations would immensely benefit our environment and health. Support the EPA's science-based plans to limit coal-burning power plant emissions.
