Emergency Investigation of Department of Human Service Case workers work ethics needed

Some caseworkers or better known as "Social Workers" of the Department of Human Services have been denying benefits of medicaide, food stamps, TANF and other services to families in need because they are over worked and have too many case loads that are difficult to get to and some of them are just hateful and don't care. Many clients have been told by their caseworkers that the paper work or requested documentation is being lost inside their offices and they can not find it. This is happening to thousands of people. I am an Advocate for various community out reaches and every morning before the doors open there are 30-50 people waiting in line with babies and small children in the heat of the sun. Many are back because their paper work was lost even though they mailed it in, gave it in person and recieved a reciept or put inside a locked box. The keys to the DHS office were left hanging in the door lock from all weekend as several clients arrived a Monday morning to wait for the DHS office to open. We need professional Social Workers with ethic and a right mind in how to treat each individual with respect. We are afraid for ourselves and other innocent people who show up to try and get our messed up cases straightened out; many people are so angered and frustrated that it gives you the feeling a time bomb will go off oneday and you hope you and your baby are not there. Case workers have stopped wearing their name badges, do not return phone calls, neither answer calls. The Complaints office in Austin has stopped taking complaints, so it is like DHS is turning a deaf ear to the needs of the public. They should have planned and saw this coming when out sourcing jobs started, when businesses closed and layoffs happened. This is not just a one state problem; the system is falling apart, if nothing is done what affects the people at the bottom will also affect those at the top. DHS is running ads to hire more people; are they really hiring more people or is that just a fluke? Women with unborn children have had miscarriages due to wrongful denial of medcaide, children and families suffer for need of food stamps and TANF. Persons who need medications are going to the emergency rooms and having to be hospitalized because they can not get their prescriptions filled without having a medicaide card; then they recieve hospital bills totaling $10,000.00 plus. Many kids will not be allowed to start school because they have no medicaide card for physicals and needed immunizations before school. Persons with disabilities not provided an Interpreter (Deaf or foreigners) emergency help is ignored. This is an awful sight every where you see it. It is your neighbor, family, friends and people you don't know. 2 ladies in line use to work for DHS are now on the end of needing benefits, they told us that DHS has scandulous workers who blatantly throw away important documentation of clients just to keep from doing the work. However; there are a few caseworkers who care and have good work ethics. Its the bad and lazy ones that need to be weeded out, another sad thing is some of them are professed christians at this church or that one. Care enough to sign this petition and pass it on to many others. Contact your state and local officials even Michelle Obama who may help turn this around. And bless those who curse you, bless them and curse them not. Owe no man nothing but to love them and ask the Father to forgive them; for they know not  what they are doing. Sign if you care?
