Meditation Should Be Taught In Schools

Meditation should be taught in schools to help students learn how to cultivate inner peace and relaxation. Just sitting fifteen minutes per day in a quiet setting (classroom, library) could do so much to help students learn to be at peace. Meditation has many benefits including

· Decreased Cigarette, Alcohol, and Drug Abuse
· Increased Productivity
· Improved Relations at Work
· Increased Relaxation and Decreased
· Improved Health and More Positive Health Habits

Teaching children at an early age (middle school) is a positive habit they can invoke their entire lives. No religious, philosophical agendas are needed or should be pushed.
