Rename a Broadway theatre after Stephen Sondheim
Without question Stephen Sondheim has transformed the face of contemporary musical theatre with such legendary shows as WEST SIDE STORY, GYPSY, COMPANY, A LITTLE NIGHT MUSIC, SWEENEY TODD, SUNDAY IN THE PARK WITH GEORGE and INTO THE WOODS to name a few. He is one of the most important and legendary of composers in all of Broadway history. Theatres have been renamed for such greats as Richard Rodgers and George Gershwin. I believe Stephen Sondheim deserves such an honor. Please help me promote this to Broadway Theatre owners/managers in hope that one will agree with our mission. Thank you!
We the undersigned request your assistance in renaming your theatre after legendary Broadway musical theatre composer Stephen Sondheim. His contributions to Broadway and musical theatre are unmeasurable. He has changed the course of contemporary musicals. His name will forever be synonymous with the likes of Gershwin, Berlin, Rodgers and Hammerstein. If you would please do theatre fans all over the world the honor of renaming your theatre after this legend: The Stephen Sondheim Theatre.
