The Ridings High 6th form dress code.
As all students or future students of the ridings 6form know, the dress code associated with the school is being changed from smart casual. To office wear. This would prevent the students from wearing the following items of clothing. Jeans, T-shirts, trainers or branded clothing.
Most students feel this is unfair for several reasons. They feel that working on there own clothes improves their working attitude and creates a more relaxed but concentrated atmosphere.
This petition is created to address this. Although the school has to enforce a smart appearance and all students can understand that mini-skirts or extremities of hair is not acceptable. Many feel that it is unfair for a complete over-haul of the system and feel that that the system should be kept the same, allowing students to wear smart casual clothing providing they are not displaying vulgar words or showing excessive skin.
