Stand With the UK Government Against Trump's Illegal, Deadly Boat Strikes in the Caribbean

The United Kingdom just made a courageous choice and it needs our support.

Since September, the Trump administration has been launching deadly airstrikes against boats in the Caribbean, killing at least 76 people. Trump and his cronies have justified this by claiming that these boats are involved in drug trafficking -- claims that they have provided little evidence to support. The fatal bombings have come under intense global scrutiny, with the UN human rights chief saying they amounted to "extrajudicial killing" that violates international law.

So the UK, which has historically been a close ally of the United States, has thus suspended certain intelligence sharing with the nation so as not to be complicit in these illegal airstrikes.

This is a historic move, one that defends international law, human rights, and global democracy in the face of reckless violence. Sign the petition to show the UK Government your support!

Even if Trump's claims that these boats are carrying drugs were true, that does not give him and his administration the right to kill those on board. Drug traffickers are still civilians with due process under international law. Trump has also tried to use classifying certain drug cartels as "foreign terrorist groups" as justification for these bombings, but "the designation of a group as a foreign terrorist organization does not automatically authorize the use of lethal force."

The reality is clear: these strikes are not law enforcement, they are state-sanctioned executions.

By cutting off intelligence that could be used to target and kill civilians, the UK is standing on the right side of history.

The UK's decision sends a message: democracies don't bow to tyrants. They lead with courage, humanity, and respect for the rule of law.

But this brave stance may very well be tested. Trump and his allies are known for applying pressure to get what they want.

That's why we must act now. Sign the petition to urge the UK Government to stand firm in defending human rights, refuse to participate in unlawful violence, and continue to protect the world from authoritarian overreach!
