Human Rights Day 2021

December 10, 2021 is Human Rights Day.  It is the day on which the United Nations General Assembly adopted the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR) in 1948. The UDHR proclaims the inalienable rights which everyone is entitled to as a human being - regardless of race, colour, religion, sex, language, political or other opinion, national or social origin, property, birth or other status.

As scholars and practitioners working in the field of public administration, we mark this day by reaffirming our commitment to human rights and fundamental democratic freedoms. We believe in the inherent dignity of all people and that all people have equal, inalienable rights. These beliefs guide our research, teaching, and engagement in public affairs.
