Jay Matthewson, Matt Miles & Sean McGarity have created an environment of fear at BLL. If too many questions are asked or if theses individuals feel they are being challenged on rules they blackball you or your child. This environment has been created because they are abusing their power knowing full well you cannot play anywhere else because of boundaries. Most everyone who is currently a BLL member either knows someone who has been blackballed or they themselves have been the target. Furthermore, when it comes to All-Star selections, each year they always seem to blackball coaches and players that have rightfully earned the right to play and represent BLL. For example, Sean McGarity each year finds an excuse to make himself an All-Star manager when it has not been earned. In addition, this abuse of power is always on full display each year. For exmple, the board elections are never advertised in advance, however an email blast is sent out when they need help with the fields, the concession stand or money. This board has no interest in transparency as this behavior is perpetuated each year because we as a community have not held them accountable for fear of being blackballed. Don't even get me started on uniforms. BLL charges the most to play of any little league in District 19, yet we have the worst uniforms which clearly do not add up to what we pay. These board members are not interested in making anything better as the same issues arise each year. Lastly, sign this petition so that we can become the competitive league we should be. We should be competing with McAllister Park each year with the talent we have in our area. Yet we have become the worse little league mainly because these board members have run off a lot of good coaches and talent with the environment of fear that has been created. Our All-Star teams were down right pathetic. One of the All-Star teams did not score a single run the entire tournament. Do not let another season go by without taking back what is rightfully ours! The next child that gets blackballed may be yours. This is our little league, let's take it back.
Hello, some of you may not know me. I have been a Team Manager for several years at Bulverde Little League and what I am sharing is the truth. I have no personal gain from this endeavor. My only goal is to see this league be all it can be for the community and in the spirit of Little League as it should be. Please do not let fear keep you from being heard. That is how this board has thrived and has become entrenched. I also encourage you to not let apathy keep you from doing something about this. Little League is supposed to be for the kids, yet this board has used and abused their position to settle old scores, vendettas by running off players and coaches. I'm certain the majority have experienced or know of someone who was run off or treated badly by this board. This seems to be an annual occurrence. This petition is about removing them from their position and running a league in the spirit of Little League as it should be. This will be the first step in the process to see this through for as long as it takes. The District 19 and Southwest Region and all the way up to Williamsport Little League offices will be notified of this perpetuating behavior. Make no mistske, this is our league and these individuals that have been entrusted have abused their position for far too long. It's time for change!
